Another of Ray's Chariots

This one is the PBs Assyrian chariot to which Ray has added a central spar made from what looks like a hacksaw blade. Pbs Persian chariot horses. The crew are S range Persians in the early chunkier-style c.1968. I think Ray must have repainted these chariots several times, either that or he liked a lot of paint on his brush...

  2. When it coms to yakking about old figures I usually find other people get bored far quicker than I do. Present company excepted, obviously.

  3. Hi Harry - I'm really pleased that you've started this blog and I will be following it with great interest. It's your fault after all that I started down the slippery slope of Hinton Hunt collecting after buying some Carabiniers from you on eBay some years back, thereby furthering your work of pushing up eBay prices to a point way beyond my pockek - let's see if you can do the same now for 'S' Range Minifigs!

    2. Google Docs is a very easy way to upload a copy. The Sharing button can be used to make it either available to anyone or to those with the link. A link can then be placed on the Blog and Voila! If you ever want to update the rules, there is a Manage Revisions button that allows you to upload the new version without having to re-do the links.

  5. Harry! What a treat to find your blog today. I've just been enjoying a run through of the existing posts. A much need voice may I add.

May I add that my 2010 post on refighting Marathon using the sceanrio & rules straight out of Battlegames#1 is still the 6th most popular post on my main blog.

All the best with the blog. I'm looking forward to it.

    1. Hello again Ross. Good to have you around.Glad you like the blog. I really enjoyed reading your Marathon refight account - great photos too. Ref metric. I only did the rules in centimetres because originally I was gaming with friends who had young kids. For some reason I was convinced children in the UK now did everything in metric. Apparently not - they were just as bamboozled as us oldsters. Maybe one day I'll convert them to Imperial, but it is a bit of a faff on...

  6. Hey Stryker! My that seems along time ago now. I did have many thousands of HH Napoleonics but they all gallantly sacrificed themselves in a bloody melee with the Inland Revenue a few years back. Now the only Hintons I have are ECW - very lovely the are too (The Royalist General with his lace sleeves is one of Hinton's best in my view, up there with the Zulu Induna). Oh and there's a few ancients as well. I'll photograph some and put them up here one day.
