A Long Wait for the Touch of Sable...
These Egyptian chariot bodies were the original Minifig S range version cast back around the time Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch were riding high in the charts with The Legend of Xanadu. It's taken over four decades for them to get their first coat of paint. Crews are S range too - slingers and heavy archers, while the horses are from the S range Persian chariot.
I'm not sure where this command chariot came from - maybe Warrior? But it's crewed by the later version S range charioteer and a Garrison 25mm officer.

Would you like another of the early S range chariots Harry ? I have one somewhere in the cupboard ... Best wishes, Nick
ReplyDeleteThough it offends every fibre of my being to say this, Nick - THaks but I have....enough. Ooh that hurt.
ReplyDeleteHi Henry,
ReplyDeleteoh you have real problems!!
Hey I like this "Warrior" chariot, the first one I see with the open sides.
cheers
uwe
Hey Uwe,
DeleteI think it is Warrior. It is quite primitive which suggests as much, but it looks nice when painted. The later Minifigs S range chariot is square, not curved, which is a mistake it seems to me.
All the best to Bavaria!
